The Xiaomi brand has just announced the marketing of two new Premium smartphones, the Xiaomi 12T and Xiaomi 12T Pro. But between these two models, what exactly are the differences? Here are some compared elements to help you see more clearly and choose which would be right for you.
As so often, the two smartphones Xiaomi 12T and Xiaomi 12T Pro share many elements but also cultivate their differences in order to tempt as wide an audience as possible wishing to have such or such features compared to others or for questions of budget, to be able to move towards one or other of the phones offered by the brand. Thus, the Xiaomi 12T and Xiaomi 12T Pro have the same design and have the same dimensions. To this, we can qualify a little because, in reality, the part of the sensors on the back is very slightly thickeron the Xiaomi 12T Pro compared to the Xiaomi 12T. The Pro version still weighs 3 grams more than the classic version which weighs 202 grams, which is very slightly above the average weight of this type of device.
200 megapixels on the back of one while the other is content with 108 megapixels
One of the main differences between the Xiaomi 12T Pro and the Xiaomi 12T is that the former is equipped with a 200 megapixel photo sensor against a 108 megapixel module installed on the back of the Xiaomi 12T. The sensor benefits from optical stabilization, autofocus and 8 lenses. This should result in extremely detailed shots with great sharpness. For the other sensors, the two smartphones share the rest of the configuration with an 8-megapixel sensor for 120-degree ultra-wide-angle shots and a 2-megapixel sensor dedicated to macro mode photos. The selfie sensors are identical since it is a 20 megapixel module.
A power difference on board
Then, the other big difference between the two Xiaomi devices is the processor. The Xiaomi 12T Pro is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset while the Xiaomi 12T is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Ultra chip . The first must offer superior performance to the second. Both are associated with 8 GB of RAM and a storage space of 128 or 256 GB. They ship the same connectivity, very complete both for moving but also for capturing the best networks at home. Finally, the price between the two mobiles is different with the 8+256 GB configuration, the Xiaomi 12T Pro being available for €799 while the Xiaomi 12T is offered at €649.
